BRIEF

SOL DE JANERIO ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR PREMIUM BODY CARE PRODUCTS THAT EVOKE THE SMELL AND WARMTH OF THE BRAZILIAN SUMMERTIME. AS PART OF THEIR SUMMER CAMPAIGN, SOL DE JANEIRO WANTED TO SHINE A LIGHT ON THEIR HERO PRODUCTS OF BRAZILIAN BUM BUM CREAM, BRAZILIAN CRUSH CHEIROSA ‘62 HAIR & BODY FRAGRANCE MIST, AND FIRMEZA OIL 100ML.

PROCESS

The experiential activation spared no expense in bringing the vibrant energy of a beach in
Rio to the streets of London. As humans, we associate scents with memories, known as
olfactory memory, and the iconic, tantalising scent of Sol De Janeiro is reminiscent of a
warm beach and freedom. So, Manchester based One Agency and One Events turned the
olfactory memory into reality by ensuring the beloved scent travelled far beyond the
activation, capturing people’s attention.

Once inside Outernet, visitors were transported from the busy streets of London to a
tropical getaway with a bespoke Sol de Janeiro wrapped airstream serving delicious
custom ice lollies and refreshments for people to enjoy whilst sitting in branded deckchairs.
Also at the activation were branded surfboards, 360 screens playing Sol De Janeiro visuals,
and an authentic Roda de Samba performance.

Results

The activation generated plenty of attention from news outlets and influencers alike, with the main comments outlining how excellent and considered the entire experience was.
As a whole, the activation ran smoothly. Considering the huge volume of visitors, queues were well managed, the samples were delivered almost in their entirety, and the incredible authentic Roda de Samba band soundtracked the event.
