THE EVENT

Using everything we’d learned from multiple drive-in cinema events, we set out to make the ultimate festive experience for all with Christmas City 2021.

THE RESULTS

Following the launch of Christmas City the year before, we had to go bigger and better with the event in 2021. That meant more festivities and more immersion than before. Our team transformed Trafford’s iconic Soccer Dome into a winter wonderland, complete with a cast of Santa’s elves, a Christmas wish postbox, and even a visit from the Grinch himself.

This event was to be fun for the whole family, so we had to have all bases covered. As well as giving children the opportunity to write to Santa and enjoy their favourite festive movies, a selection of films for adults and a fully stocked bar offered plenty for the grown-up crowd.

The true standout for this event was the highly effective world building from our team. From Santa’s mailroom to the candy cane forest, Christmas City lived up to its name and provided people with a magical escape. This was made possible by the builders, designers, and engineers who make up the One Events team.
